The Baltimore Sun covering 1837 to the present and the Baltimore Afro-American Newspaper from 1893 – 1988 are available online as
newspaper databases. The New York Times,The Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post are also available online.

The Periodicals Department of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, which serves as the public library for the city of Baltimore as well as the State Library for Maryland, has one of the largest public collections of newspapers including historic Maryland county newspapers in the state.
