The dates, times and branch locations for BCPL computer classes are found on our Technology Training page ( under Get Help on our home page as well as in dateLines, our calendar of events. DateLines is available online at or under the Events menu tab on our web pages. Our home page also displays a listing of all events taking place today in all our branches.

BCPL computer classes are primarily introductions to computers and the Internet. Occasionally a branch may offer a class on the basics of using Microsoft Word, email and resume writing.

For these hands-on computer classes, small group instruction is required. All computer classes are noted in dateLines  as “registration required.” To register, you must call (Press 4 for Information Desk) or visit the branch during the week preceding the program. The online tutorials provide practice on using a mouse and keyboard as well as some Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc. Note: The Community College of Baltimore County is one of the main sources of computer classes that are held around Baltimore County.
