The library posts any significant closings or interruption of normal hours directly on our home page (www.bcpl.info) and also on our Alerts page (https://www.bcpl.info/alerts.html).
In addition, we post about holiday or weather-related closings on the library's Facebook page.
BCPL hours are not tied to the openings or closings of the County government or schools. The decision to close or open BCPL branches later than normal is usually made at approximately 6:30 a.m. The notice of closings or delayed openings is usually added within minutes of that decision on our home page.
Bookmobile service will be suspended whenever an official Snow Emergency Plan is in effect. If a snow emergency is announced at mid-day, all remaining stops for that day will be canceled.
