Storyville (http://www.bcpl.info/storyville) is an early literacy and learning center specifically designed for preschool children, birth to 5, to use interactively with their parents or caregivers.

We do not take reservations for Storyville visits. You are welcome to call to see if we are busy before you visit.

Locations:

Storyville @ Rosedale
6105 Kenwood Avenue
Baltimore, Maryland 21237-2097

Hours: Storyville is open the same hours as the Rosedale and Woodlawn Branches
Monday through Thursday: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Sunday: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Please make other arrangements for your older children. There is a full service children’s area in the main part of the library. Maryland Law requires that children under 8 be accompanied by a caregiver, so an adult or a babysitter over 13 would need to stay with your child while in the library.

Maximum capacity is around 60 visitors, adults and children, in Storyville at one time. Once  capacity is reached a waiting list is started. Waits can be as short as five minutes or as long as an hour.

Information about group/class visits

Birthday or other parties are not hosted in Storyville. However, you are welcome to invite your child's friends (birth to 5 years) and their parents to meet you here.  Each parent or caregiver is registered as individuals to access Storyville as they arrive and may be placed on a waiting list if maximum capacity is reached.
