The Libby mobile app defaults to in app and push notifications.
To Receive Libby notifications via email instead of push notifications follow the steps below.
- In Libby, tap Menu
, then Notifications (under "Settings").
- Ensure the Notification option next to at least one event is enabled/ON.
- Scroll to the bottom of the menu, tap device settings, and disable notifications for Libby.
FYI, If you have already set Libby receive email notifications, but are not receiving them, try repeating the process and on step 3, after tapping device settings, then tap Notifications (even if it shows they are OFF next to Notifications), and make sure they are OFF. If it's OFF then toggle the button ON then OFF again. - Return to Libby and depending on your operating system, you may need to repeat step 1 and reject a prompt to re-enable push notifications.
- Tap Receive Email Notifications, then tap Next.
- Enter your email address and tap Next. Note: There's no need to re-enable notifications for Libby in your device's settings after taking these steps.
- Select your notification preference for each event. You can choose email for all or only for some events. The choices are:
- Ignore (no notification)
- Shelf notice (in-app notification)
- Email (notification email)
Once you have your email notifications in place, you would use the steps in this link if you ever need to update your email address.
