Q. How do I reset my library account password or PIN?

If you have forgotten your password, follow the steps below to email yourself a link to reset it.

• Go to www.bcpl.info 

• Select the Account tab. 

• Select the Log in button, which takes you to the account login page. 

• Select the Forgot your password? link located below the password field. 

• Enter your account number (aka barcode or e-card number) and submit. 

• Close that tab or window and check your email. You should get an email with a link to reset your password. Check your SPAM folder if you don't see it! 

• Open the email and click on the link to reset your password. 

• BCPL PIN/password rules:

  • Must be between 4 and 16 characters long.  
  • Can include (but does not have to include) any combination of Capital letters, lowercase letters, and numbers.
  • Cannot contain any special keyboard characters or spaces. 
     

• The link in the email expires 60 minutes after it was sent. Be sure to check your SPAM folder if you don’t see the email in your inbox within 15 minutes. 

NOTE: If you did not give the library your email address when you registered for your account, you won't be able to get the reset email. Instead please call a branch or contact us by email for help resetting and be sure to include your library card number and full name.
