To use the Ancestry Library Edition database on a laptop or mobile device, you must be at a BCPL branch and connected to BCPL's Guest Wi-Fi network. Open the Wi-Fi setting on your device and connect to "BCPL-Guest".
There is a known bug with Chrome and Edge web browsers that may prevent access. If you get an error message try updating or installing the Firefox web browser and use that to access the database.
Example Error Messages When Using Chrome or Edge:
- The information you requested has been sent to the email address provided.
- You must be in the library to use this resource.
Ancestry can also be accessed in any BCPL branch by signing up to use one of the public computers.
Ancestry cannot be accessed from outside the library.
