Q. Does BCPL have streaming videos I can watch online?

BCPL offers Kanopy and Hoopla to borrow steaming videos. You will need a BCPL registered library card in good standing to check out titles from either.

Hoopla
Allows you to borrow movies and TV shows, music and comic books to enjoy on your computer, tablet, smart phone or smart TV. 

Borrowing limits - up to 10 titles per month, per library card.

Kanopy
The Kanopy film collection includes classic and popular movies, documentaries, indie and foreign films, educational and instructional videos such as The Great Courses, and children's videos.

Borrowing limits - each card is allotted 45 tickets per month and each video watched deducts from the total. Longer films deduct more tickets than shorter films. See the following Kanopy help page for more details about How tickets work.

To get started, go to BCPL's Kanopy website, select "Add a Library Card", and follow the prompts to create an account.  If you need to find step-by-step instructions for creating your account, visit Kanopy support.
