Sneaks the Cat first appeared in April of 1986 in the BCPL staff publication, Branching Out, wearing “jams” surf board shorts and red high-top sneakers. While Sneaks is the property of Baltimore County Public Library, the artist who first rendered him was Tom Sollers, who worked in BCPL's Graphics Production Dept.
