You will need your library card number and PIN/password and a computer or device with a web browser. NOTE: the Wall Street Journal mobile app does not work with the library's subscription. You must use a web browser and login through BCPL's website.
- Go to BCPL's home page at www.bcpl.info
- Select the Books and More tab.
- Select Digital Library from the drop down menu.
- Scroll down a bit and select the Wall Street Journal link, it's in the 4th tile, under the heading 'Magazines, Newspapers & Comics'.
- You should land on a BCPL page that says "Enjoy Free Access to the Wall Street Journal".
- Tap/click on the link 'Create your account or log in as an existing user' at the bottom of that page.
- You will be prompted to log into your library account with your library card number and your library pin/password.
- After entering your library account login information, you should land on the Wall Street Journal's "Create an Account" page, as shown below.

- If this is your first time accessing the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) and you have never set up a WSJ account previously, through BCPL, any other library, through a trial subscription or a paid subscription to WSJ.
- Enter your first and last name, your email address and create a password. It can be the same as your library password or it can be different.
- You should see a the screen below.

- To avoid getting emails from WSJ trying to get you to pay for a subscription, uncheck the first box.
- You must check the second box agreeing to their Privacy Statement.
- Click the blue 'Create' button to log in.
- You should have 3 days / 72 hours or unlimited access to the WSJ now.
- Once you created a WSJ account:
- Every time you access the WSJ, it's best to login through BCPL's website.
- Go to BCPL's home page at www.bcpl.info
- Select the Books and More tab.
- Select Digital Library.
- Select the Wall Street Journal link, it's in tile, under the heading 'Magazines, Newspapers & Comics'.
- Tap/click on the Wall Street Journal link.
- If it has not been 72 hours since your last log in, and you are using the same device, you may see a WSJ screen that says 'Welcome back'. Just click the 'Let's Go' button to access.
- If it has been more than 3 days/72 hours since your last login to the WSJ, you will see the WSJ Sign In screen, as shown below.
- Select the SIGN IN button.
- Enter your email address and WSJ password.
You may see the Create an Account screen again (as shown below), even if you already have any account. If you do, uncheck the first box, check mark the second box and click Create. That should sign you into the database.

Mobile App
The mobile app for the Wall Street Journal will not work with the library's subscription. You can use the web browser on a mobile device to access the WSJ via BCPL's Research Databases page or Digital Library page but the mobile app throw up a paywall.
Troubleshooting:
If you see a screen asking you sign up and pay for a subscription, be sure you are not using the mobile WSJ app. Using a web browser, go to BCPL's Research Databases page or Digital Library page, select WSJ and log into your library account when prompted. You may also be prompted to log into your WSJ account (with your email and password you created). If you still hit a subscription paywall, see the directions below.
Try checking your web browser for updates. If that does not solve the problem, try clearing your web browser's cache. If clearing cache does no work, try using a different (up-to-date) web browser. Then try again to access the WSJ via BCPL's Research Databases page or Digital Library page.
