Once an e-book is checked out using the library's website/online catalog and your web browser tab is closed, you can't reopen the book from within the catalog or your library account. Instead, you have to use one of the ebook mobile apps (cloudLibrary or Libby app) or one of BCPL's ebook websites (cloudLibrary, Libby or OverDrive) to access it.
Generally, if you want to read (or listen) to ebooks on a computer or laptop, use one of the websites (cloudLibrary website, Libby website or OverDrive websites) and read in your web browser. If you close the tab on your web browser, you can get back to it later and pick up where you left off.
If you want to read/listen on an Android or Apple iOS tablet or phone then you need to install the cloudLibrary app or the Libby app (by OverDrive).
You will need your card number handy to log into the app or website. Libby and OverDrive access the same titles but cloudLibrary is separate from OverDrive/Libby.
