No, e-accounts/e-cards/PACREG numbers cannot be used in the library's online catalog (Polaris PAC) to check out or hold digital titles (e-books or e-audiobooks). While e-books appear in the catalog, only regular library cards will work to get e-books in the catalog. Customers with e-accounts (accounts beginning with the letters PACREG) must either go to a branch to get a regular library card or they can access e-books with their e-card number using the mobile apps (Libby/OverDrive or CloudLibrary) or the websites for CloudLibrary or Libby. Customers who attempt to hold or borrow e-books with an e-account using the catalog will get the error message, "We’re sorry, check-out is not permitted. Please contact the library regarding your account."
