Ancestry and public Wi-FiCustomers using devices on a branch's public Wi-Fi and using the Chrome or Edge web browser can't access Ancestry. Even though they are in a branch, after selecting Ancestry from the database list, they see the following Polaris error message, "To use this resource you must be in a branch".

A ticket has been opened with OIT.

Workarounds: use Firefox or Safari web browser. If the Acceptable Use Agreement page does not come up while using Firefox or Safari, go to a different website (not BCPL's) and that *should* force the Acceptable Use Agreement page to come up, which should give them access after they select the "Agree" button. (9-8-22)
