BCPL's withdrawn library material and donated items go to Better World Books, which supports and funds literacy initiatives. Better World Books sells the books online and a percentage of the sale price is returned to Baltimore County Public Library. These funds are used to purchase additional materials and fund library services.
Better World Books provides a broad selection of withdrawn and donated materials (books, CD's, DVD's) not just from BCPL branches but also from libraries across the country. In addition, shipping is free!
