Most BCPL branches have the most recent print issues of
Consumer Reports magazine and the annual Buying Guides
available for you to borrow. The link above allows you to check the library's catalog to see what print issues are available. Some branches may also have a reference copy at the Service Desk.
To access the Consumer Reports online database, use the following link to go to BCPL's
Research Databases page. Once there, scroll down the alphabetized list and select Consumer Reports.
You should be prompted to log in. Enter your library card number and PIN/password. Then enter the name of a specific product or category of products you want to find reviews for.
If you don't find what you want in Consumer Reports then try searching the MasterFile database, which includes all of the articles from past issues of Consumer Reports plus the annual Buying Guides and Consumer Reports On Health.
MasterFile is also found on the
Research Databases web page or by going to BCPL's home page (
www.bcpl.info), select the Books and More tab then click on Research Databases and scroll down the list to MasterFile.
