If you have a Nook, then BCPL has ebooks available. The type of NOOK you have will determine exactly how you go about downloading titles from either the Cloud Library or Maryland's Digital eLibrary Consortium (OverDrive) catalog.
If you have a newer NOOK tablet, like the NOOK HD, HD+, or NOOK by Samsung tablets, which are based on the Android operating system, you can you use either the OverDrive for Android app or the 3M Cloud Library app for Nook to directly download OverDrive or Cloud Library titles to your device.
As of March 15, 2016, Barnes & Noble is no longer supporting the older NOOK devices and they have discontinued their B&N app store, meaning, NOOK Color and NOOK Tablet owners will no longer be able to download the OverDrive or Cloud Library app to those devices. Instead, you must use these devices as an ereader and transfer titles via a computer and the needed software of app for Windows or Mac computers.
NOOK HD, HD+, or NOOK by Samsung tablets:
These are based on the Android operating system. Download the Cloud Library NOOK app . All of your interaction with BCPL's Cloud Library ebooks takes place within the app. This includes browsing, checking out titles, downloading and reading ebooks. To access your Cloud Library ebooks, open the Cloud Library app on your NOOK. Older NOOK tablets (NOOK Color or NOOK Tablet):
If you have the Cloud Library app already installed, it should continue to work for now. However, if it fails then you will need to use your device like an ereader and use a computer (Windows or Mac) to transfer titles and the needed software of app for Windows or Mac computers.
If you don’t have the app, you can use your NOOK Color or NOOK Tablet as an ereader by connecting your device to your computer with a USB cable and using the 3M Cloud Library PC app (http://www.yourcloudlibrary.com/index.php/en-us/get-the-app/windows) or MAC app ( http://www.yourcloudlibrary.com/index.php/en-us/get-the-app/mac) to download ebook titles to your computer and then transfer the titles to your device. You will not use the Cloud Library app to read these books on your device.
Further instructions on transferring titles to your Nook from your computer are found at: http://www.bcpl.info/sites/default/files/images/find-materials/pdf/find-materials-downloadables-ebooks-3m-nook-color-or-tablet-use-as-ereader-2016-04.pdf
