Beginning Tuesday October 11, 2016, the pedestrian bridge which connects the Loch Raven Library/Health Center to the parking lot will be closed to all foot traffic. Structural repairs to the bridge deck and side walls are expected to take approximately 15 weeks. Once the bridge is closed it will remain closed for the duration of the project.

The book drop will not be available. Returns are accepted at any other BCPL branch.

During this time, customers of both the Library and the Health Center must access the building via the rear/east side entrance. To do this customers may park in the main parking lot, then walk up the Taylor Avenue sidewalk, then up the driveway to the rear or east side of the building. This is the current accessible entrance to the building; however, there are only handicapped and staff parking spaces on this side.

Meeting room access is from inside the library by stairs only.

For convenience and safety, customers with small children or children in strollers, and customers with mobility issues may wish to visit one of our surrounding library branches during the time that the pedestrian bridge is closed. Both the Towson and Parkville - Carney branches are nearby.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this project, and appreciate your patience and understanding as these important repairs are made.
