Desktop & Laptop Computers: 

  • Check for web browser updates 
  • Check for computer operating system updates 
  • Clear your web browser's cache
  • Try a different browser to determine if the problem is browser-specific 
  • Try disabling VPN or Proxy server 
  • Try temporarily disabling firewalls, internet security software, and/or pop-up blockers 

Mobile Devices: 

  • Close all apps running in the background 
  • Check your app store for updates to the app
  • Check your device for operating system updates 
  • Verify you have adequate storage space 
  • Make sure you are using the app and not the mobile browser 
  • Try disabling VPN 
  • If using any app other than Libby, try uninstalling the malfunctioning app, rebooting, and reinstalling the app. DO NOT DELETE the Libby app. 

Libby App:

  • Follow the steps at this link to Remove your card from Libby.
  • Fully power off your device for at least 2-3 minutes then power back on.
  • Add your card back into Libby. Be sure to select BCPL as your library system. When logging in with BCPL as your library system, you should NOT be asked for a pin or password to add your card (log in) to Libby. If you are asked for a password contact BCPL using this Support form. Please answer all the questions on the form.

NOTE: Do not delete Libby app unless you don't mind loosing all current holds or loans and your reading history for all library cards you have in Libby. If you don't mind loosing those, then deleting the app and reinstalling it is the faster way to go.
