While BCPL's branches do not offer formal English classes, we do occasionally offer the English Conversation Club / Club de conversación en inglés to help you practice your English. See this link (https://events.bcpl.info/events?r=months&n=2) for dates, times and locations. All BCPL webpages can be translated to Spanish by scrolling to the end of the page and look for the word English on right side of the page then click the down arrow and select Spanish.

BCPL offers a self-paced, online language-learning software called Mango Languages that has an English language course for Spanish speakers, as well as courses for learning other languages. See the link for information about finding and using it at https://bcpl.libanswers.com/faq/74890

Also you can borrow from the library books, audio CDs and DVDs for learning English. These are free, you just need to get a free library card first. See http://catalog.bcpl.lib.md.us/polaris/view.aspx?subject=English+language+textbooks+for+foreign+speakers

The Community College of Baltimore County (
CCBC) has ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes at several places in Baltimore County throughout the year. Most classes are free. Call CCBC at 443.840.2222, or see this link: https://www.ccbcmd.edu/Programs-and-Courses/Continuing-Education/Adult-Education/ESOL/index.html

And there are two organizations in Baltimore City that have free English classes.

The Baltimore City Community College offers free English Language Services and Basic Skills programs. See http://www.bccc.edu/esl

The Esperanza Center Educational Services, offers free Adult English Language Classeshttps://cc-md.org/programs/esperanza-center/esperanza-center-educational-services/
