You can return Baltimore County Public Library materials to any Baltimore County Public Library branch: ( Hours and Locations: https://www.bcpl.info/locations/index.html) or at any BCPL bookmobile stop.

All branches have book drops so most items, with the following exceptions, can be returned after business hours:

Chromebooks:

Seven Day Chromebooks can be returned to any branch but they must be put in the hands of a library staff member at a service desk and not returned through a book drop.

Playaway Locks can be returned to any branch but they must be put in the hands of a library staff member at a service desk and not returned through a book drop.

Library materials must be returned or renewed by their due date. Items put in a book drop by their due date are considered on time if returned before the branch opens the next business day. Items returned in the book drop after the branch opens will accrue an extended loan (overdue) fee which will be automatically attached to a customer’s library account.

For additional information about late fees for overdue items see the Loan Periods and Fees page.

Items borrowed through the Marina or OCLC Interlibrary Loan Services  may be returned to any BCPL Branch or BCPL bookmobile. In order to clear your account, please return items with any carry bags or paperwork, book bands, barcodes found in or on an interlibrary loan item.

DVDs can be renewed online or through SHELF HELP.

For additional information on fees and loan periods for all our DVD collections see the Loan Periods and Fees page.
